Tammie Clark, art teacher at OPES and FNES, was honored this week as the Alabama Art Educator of the Year! Mrs. Clark brings a tremendous amount of creativity, encouragement and fun to the students and the staff in the schools where she works and beyond. She has mentored art teachers and student teachers in Alabama and at national art conferences as she continually learns and shares new ways to develop the artist in each student. Through art, our children learn to communicate in new ways, appreciate the creative process as well as how to experiment with new ideas, make mistakes and grow from them. Congratulations, Mrs. Clark!
